We are on holiday! Odd feeling really, good though.  We are in a little town called Bishop's Castle where my family live, but need to tell all about the days in London.  Veronica and the Boys had Monday and Tuesday to themselves and hit the Natural History and Victoria & Alberta Museums.

The main goal at the Natural History was to see the tank exhibits that we had seen on Museum Secrets.  The giant squid and sundry other horror show monsters.  Here are some pics they took…I wasn’t there so will have Duncan and Veronica tell us more about them.

[Veronica here...] so while paul was being all important running off to whatever he does when he wears a suit... duncan and euan and i spent a few days rummaging through some museums... first stop, natural history museum... although filled with dusty creepy creatures from days gone, we were really there because we had seen an episode of Museum Secrets and it mentioned this mysterious room called the Tank Room... filled with loads of specimens collected by Darwin, etc. 22 million specimens in fact... so we got there early and signed up for one of the private tours behind the scenes... well worth the wait! the coolest by far... a coelacanth... ugly and rare... and actual specimens with labels written by darwin himself... the motherloade for the dweeby set!
